Wrote up a contract on this girl about a month ago, should be lake season pretty soon here. Ah, the long summer days, cold beers, dinner at the marina with a good buzz (if mom and dad get a hall pass away from kids), waterskiing, coving it with the rest of the derelicts while the stereo bumps out tunes...gawd I love summer at the lake. This will be 4th pleasure boat I have owned, plus a couple fishing boats here and there. have to admit, even when I was healthy to ride, i never rode much in the summer, spent it poolside or at the lake.

Allyson is just jazzed she can pee in the bathroom head area without having to jump in the lake. Little things I guess. Bring on the sunshine!

Nice!

We are about 5-10 minutes from a decent sized lake, makes me want one of those miserable pleasure boats.

Never owned a boat (have five kayaks) but those don't count. Have a lot of friends with boats. Ami is more into the kayaks for some reason, although her family always had a sailboat on the Baltic. Go figure.

Nice boat, BTW.

I do enjoy sitting at a picnic table drinking beer near a boat launch ramp. That can be really entertaining. Lots of weird shit going down.

I sold our 19' Crownline last fall, went bigger this time. Should be home here in the next few weeks. Water skiing is actually great workout and was pretty good balance therapy for me last year. Hoping I can get back up on my slalom ski this year, last year was still a little soon. 2 skis was easy peasy, my slalom was sad though, didn't leave the ski bag much

I am hoping the last couple of weeks was the last of it. We got hammered though so the high country (and ours is really high LOL) won't be rideable until late July.  It seems funny to say, one of those mountain things. They are a differernt animal for sure.

My brother and I came upon this quad rolled down the mountain one time on this steeper section, thankfully without the rider and his daughter on it, and rode them both back to their other buddies. I liken it to accidents in the general aviation community. Neither are like just hopping in your car in the city and going for it up to the mall but folks treat both as such. People die up there all the time because of poor planning.

It isnt too bad temps today, about 65, but th wind is out of the NW and cold as can be, blowing about 35-40, not fun weather for laking it and it is dry as a popcorn fart right now. Fire trucks have been heading out about every 45 minutes this afternoon. Wont be really warm consistently here until another 2-3 weeks. I saw Karen had snow in MI today

We were supposed to be out catching blue cats today, but 35-40 winds on big lakes sucks. We opened the pool instead, did a site layout for 1 of the new builds coming up, hopefully upsold him into a very cool waterfall setup next to their drink bench I am building into the pool. Not sure if I will ever really get into riding every weekend the way I used to ever again. Just dont know.
Now a cold beer, Lynda in her bikini and the kids all with us hanging at the lake or the much welcome night boating just the 2 of us, bottle of wine, yeah boating season cant get here soon enough

the ramps are always good for a laugh or 3, unless you are waiting to get loaded up and have to watch Earl and Mable try to trailer their boat after a full day of Schaefer lights. Only in redneck land can you hear such southern twang cussin' and hollering as they load a boat damned near perpendicular to the trailer. Or the timeless favorite, they forget to raise the prop and scrape the lower unit for 1/4 of a mile or so until they see or smell sparks. yeah, that is funny stuff

Enjoy, looks like a nice boat!

My old man has a 16' bowrider that I hitch up to the truck a few times a year and hit Lake Erie with. I am fortunate to be <1hr from Long Point Bay, a massive sheltered area and one of the best smallmouth fisheries in the world. Nice place to get the girls up front in a bikini as well.
