Vegas to Reno
Hey everyone! I decided to race Ironman in the Best in the Desert series this year.
Next race is Vegas to Reno in mid August. Two day stage race approx 640 miles total.
Definitely a lot of training and working out and non-beer drinking to go before I am ready.
Team #ironmanpandito is ready for the challenge though!
I may have lost my mind.

Dude, that is rad. I am envious, pretty sure my racing days are done, so I am gonna have to live vicariously through The Panda!
What are you doing for sponsors so far? May be a pool company out of KC that can chip in a bit

Very cool Swade! The only sponsor I have is me, and Apex Sports for a parts deal because I got my 450fx there.
Just kinda doing my own thing. But help from a pool company couldn't hurt! Maybe tie to getting in shape, I need some sort of goal.

Hokie: Hey Zilla, what's another name for a Ménage à trois?
Zilla: Threesome
Hokie: Good. So what do you call two people having sex?
Zilla: Twosome
Hokie: So, is that why they call you Handsome?

I did that ride two weeks ago, pretty cold but your not going to have that issue.
Do you have your hotel reservations for your lay over at Tonopah? When i was there i was told that they were all booked for the race.
I did the ride on the Husky 350s and it was probably the must fun that i`ve had during that long ride.

IronManPandita and the cubs are chasing in the RV.
So, accomadations are taken care of. Pit support along the way...that is the biggest issue. Still working on that. I figure maybe two pits with the RV crew, then baja pits for the rest. Same for day 2
Approx 640 miles over two days...

Not sure, but I heard two chase trucks are good, and three is optimal.
Never done this before, so it is all new.
Race/pit map won't be out until about a month prior to the race.

True, i`m not sure it was at the time i did it. Malcolm Smith would always have these adventures happening, not so much now.
