Heading your way....
Ok, seems the travel gods have smiled kindly on thee and I'm off to the land of frozen Americans, that's right Vancouver.
I will be there on the week of the 9th of May and have the weekend off, (the 14th and 15th plus a bit longer if needed) So...... I was thinking if any of you misguided homosexuals could rustle up a bike, helmet and gear for this appreciative fellow I would dearly like to break some bread, drink some beer, talk lot's of shit and maybe sneak in a ride or 2.
I have to warn you though, I'm slow, prone to crying if I fall over and can't wheel stand for shit.
I should be good to fly out of Vancouver Friday afternoon.

Would love to help you out Tony, but I'm on the other side of the country.
Some beautiful spaces out there.

Re: Heading your way....
Its a long ass road trip for me, but maybe if we picked someplace central. How central is Zilla's neck of the woods for Kermit, the boys from CO, west of the Rockies crew? I am solid 8 hours from Denver, wouldnt mind getting out, although i may be the weak link if ya'll try to torture run it.
Re: Heading your way....
Think I have everything but extra boots. I looked and looked, can't find them...must of gave them away.
I can look at some pawn shops for a pair. Huge moto community here, so there has to something.
Tony found this place in Meridian (15-20 minutes from Boise) that rents 450's.

Could fly into Boise, we literally have riding minutes from downtown. Though Idaho City is only 45 minutes up the road...(snow might not be melted by then) or we have a some decent desert riding and hour South of town.

OK, I'm out. I am racing on Sunday. Like 3 races back to back, cause I am an idiot. (5 hours of racing)
And Vancouver is in Canada, and it is about a Brazilian miles from here.
Australia may be larger, but I think Kansas is way bigger.
At least longer, you ever try to drive that fucking state?
holy shit.

I don't how big the Aussie's feetsies are (I mean, they must be huge from all the stomping around he does ), but I've got an older pair of Alpinestar size 10s he could use.Kermit wrote:Think I have everything but extra boots. I looked and looked, can't find them...must of gave them away.

He told me his size, those 10's might work...if we stuff several pairs of panties in the toes...
That extra pair I had would of fit him....yan know the ones I have been hanging onto for 15+ years...meh, haven't needed before....well crap.

Re: Heading your way....
Driving KS takes, um patience. I 70 picked literally the flattest section of western KS (parallels the rail lines) and fuck, it is a tedious task at best. If driving with your gf or wife, you literally have hours to talk her into some road head
Re: Heading your way....
Idatopia is probably a 2 day trip for me easy, not n sure I can handle that drive yet? Can you possibly give us any shorter notice Tony lol?

Ha, no kidding!
yeah, I can't wonder too far on such short notice...Colorado is probably the most central for most of us...but the high country is still under a bunch of snow...and will be until August...I am guessing. Heck, we just got more snow here! Skiers are rejoicing.
EDIT: Have spare boots now...was looking for a cheap pair on CL, found a pair of nearly new Sidi Crossfires for not too much coin for myself....dude was 5 minutes from work too....fricken schweeeeet!

Hey Tony,
Any updates?
Met with E-Ticket, we were talking and are thinking of going to Idaho City (since it isn't far from Boise)...some services (food, gas, lodging) and trails can be accessed quite literally from town.

Re: Heading your way....
Dear Kerm, E, Wade, Dave and all,
Sometimes “Fuck this fucking shit” does not quite convey the message quite well enough however, that’s all that I have.
Looks like I can’t get the travel gods aligned so that A: I don’t spend 2 days in fucking Airports and B: I can’t get more than 2 days off to myself at this stage.
So sincerest apologies to all that tried to help pull some gear together. Please trust me I did try!
So at this stage I’m going to parked up in BC, not too bad but I would have loved to ride with you bastards.
On the good news side of things, I will be in Vegas in September with loads more time to arrange my time off.
Please know that I shall from this moment forward be banging my head on the ground till forgiven.
Kindest regards,
Tony.

No worries mate!
Hey, I got a new pair of boots out of the deal!
September in Vegas will be all of fuck hot that time of year...maybe one of the California and Nevada peeps...knows of some higher elevation trails, that are sorta close.
Plane tickets from Sin City to Boise are pretty cheap...riding is primo in the mountains that time of year.
